The Grove Center for Excellence in Science Education works with faculty to support personal and professional growth aligned with inclusive, research-based educational practices.
The Grove Center provides the following to faculty:
- Customized digital resources to support teaching in Eberly College of Science courses
- STEM teaching and learning workshops created to introduce research-based practices and share how these approaches are being used in our classes
- Learning communities of practice for instructor interactions on teaching and learning topics
- Consulting on a variety of teaching and learning topics as well as on educational research and digital tools
About Faculty Development and Support
Programs: The Grove Center offers discipline-specific and interdisciplinary workshops at all levels of teaching and learning topics. We also host a series of interactive presentations on teaching topics throughout the year in our Food for Thought series.
Consultations: Members of the Grove Center team can meet with instructors to provide feedback on curricular design, and pedagogical methods. We also observe and provide feedback to instructors to guide pedagogical development.
Custom Resources: The Grove Center has created custom digital resources for Eberly College of Science instructors to support curricular design, pedagogy, and professional development.
