Want to check course accessibility prep off your summer to-do list? The Grove Center’s August Accessibility Lab offers three supported work sessions where you can bring your syllabus and materials and get hands-on help with document, image, and video accessibility before fall. Learn more about dates, times, and how to register on the Accessibility Lab web page.
The Penn State Eberly College of Science has acquired a college-wide license for Gradescope, available for instructor use beginning in January 2026. Gradescope is an online grading platform that supports paper-based, digital, and coding assignments; speeds up rubric-based grading; and provides question-level analytics that can inform course and assessment design.
Gradescope can help instructors provide more consistent feedback, manage grading more efficiently in large-enrollment courses, and identify common student difficulties across questions or learning outcomes.
If you'd like to explore more about Gradescope, check out their Instructors' Guides or reach out to Melissa Hicks.
