About Me:

I have a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education and leadership. My 40-year diverse background is in project management, staff supervision, and administrative operations, particularly in support of high-ranking officials and military personnel, which demonstrates a strong foundation in organizational effectiveness and leadership.

In my role as senior support assistant to the Sr. Associate Dean for Science Education and the project coordinator for the Grove Center for Excellence in Science Education, I am dedicated to enhancing science education and supporting academic initiatives. I’m committed to guiding and developing others and do so by mentoring administrative staff. I have also served as a mentor to PSU Veteran students. In my current role, I bring a combination of leadership, mentorship, and a passion for continuous learning; qualities that are invaluable to fostering a supportive and productive environment within academic and administrative settings. My passion is making a difference and making sure all are heard and feel included.

In 2015, I was recognized with the Dean’s Office Staff award. I also have numerous military awards and decorations, which are a testament to my exemplary service and achievements throughout my career.

Why should you include administrative professionals in strategic planning and everyday operational activities?

We provide stability to every facet of the Grove Center. We can connect with internal and external stakeholders first and provide the initial impression that optimizes success. Our role is foundational, and we contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of the Grove Center.

Ask me about: Grove Center for Excellence in Science Education, Food for Thought, Learning Spaces, Learning Communities, Teaching Innovation Awards, ECoS Teaching Awards and University Teaching Awards, HR policies, undergraduate policies and procedures, curriculum, and assessment, CIM, financial policies & procedures, budget, and project coordination.

Fun fact about me: I enjoy flea markets and antiquing and am looking forward to traveling the continental United States with my husband, great dane, and grandchildren.
