Call for Proposals: AI Literacy & 7‑Week World Campus Courses

Penn State World Campus is inviting proposals from programs that offer existing online undergraduate or graduate courses through World Campus to:

  • Integrate artificial intelligence (AI) literacy outcomes, aligned with the Penn State AI Framework, into courses in your discipline.
  • Convert current full-semester online courses to a 7‑week format to increase flexibility, support accelerated pathways, and enhance student focus.

Selected proposals will receive author compensation per course, targeted marketing support for qualifying 7‑week program plans, and access to workshops and consultations on AI literacy and 7‑week course design. Proposals of no more than five pages are due March 20, 2026, and must describe the courses involved, objectives, and team qualifications, and confirm leadership and learning design support.

The Digital Toolkit for Instructors serves as a comprehensive, one-stop digital resource designed to help educators explore, select, and implement digital tools that align with their teaching objectives. Living Physics Community of Practice

The Grove Center for Excellence in Science Education welcomes instructors to join the Living Physics Community of Practice, a new initiative designed to foster interdisciplinary connections and enhance student learning experiences. This program brings together faculty from physics, the life sciences, mathematics, and related disciplines who are interested in enriching the algebra-based physics sequence (PHYS 250 and PHYS 251) with relevant, real-world examples from life science and medicine.

Members of the Living Physics Community of Practice collaborate on the development of curricular materials and work to strengthen the alignment between courses commonly taken by students in these sequences. The group is dedicated to increasing engagement across disciplines and promoting academic success.

The first meeting is Wednesday, September 10, in 16 Ritenour. The community remains open to new members. Educators who are interested in participating are encouraged to indicate their interest through this Grove Center form.
