Are you passionate about teaching and eager to support the next generation of educators? Our graduate teaching community is seeking mentors to guide and inspire graduate students on their teaching journeys. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to regular involvement, your expertise and encouragement can make a significant difference. Below are the various roles you can take on as a mentor. Find the one that fits your availability and interests, and help us build a thriving community of educators:
- Supporter: Stays informed about the activities and progress of the graduate student teaching community and offers general support and encouragement. Does not necessarily attend meetings.
- Facilitator: Offers availability to provide occasional guidance and advice to graduate students when needed. May not regularly attend meetings but is willing to assist when requested.
- Speaker: Offers to be a guest speaker for specific meetings or sessions within the community. Shares expertise on teaching, education research, or their own educator experiences.
- Advisor: Actively participates in mentoring graduate students, providing guidance on teaching and professional development activities. Regularly attends meetings and events.
